Australian Horse Racing News: Larneuk 2017 Service Fees

Neville Murdoch is pleased to announce the 2017 service fees for Larneuk Stud’s exciting spring line-up.

Welcoming to the Euroa stud the exciting first season stallions Wolf Cry and Honorius, Murdoch is also happy to again be standing the consistent O’Lonhro, the quiet achiever Ilovethiscity and the popular young Fastnet Rock stallion Cluster.

Already taking in good numbers of bookings for the handsome Wolf Cry, Murdoch is excited by the response to the well related son of Street Cry.

“He is an ideal VOBIS horse and breeders are recognising that. He had early speed and is a superb type from one of Australia’s best families.”

Wolf Cry makes his debut at a fee of $4400 (incl gst).

A Group Two winner whose first foals are impressing all who have seen them, Cluster is into his third season having served a quality book of mares last year – including daughters of Montjeu, Cape Cross, High Chaparral, Bernardini, Street Cry, Reset, Zabeel, More Than Ready, Commands, Marauding, Rory’s Jester, Canny Lad, Red Ransom, Flying Spur, Invincible Spirit, Written Tycoon, O’Reilly and Marscay.

Honorius, named after a western Roman emperor, was a consistently strong performer at the highest level, proving to be genuine, tough and sound.

With 15 mares already residing on the farm, ready to go to him, the owner will be looking to cover about 20-25 mares in total.

“He will have a great opportunity in the first season with the mares he has already secured, and he will encourage outside mares onto the stud.” Murdoch said.

Honorius makes his debut at a fee of $7700 (incl gst).

Again proving popular with local breeders, Cluster remains at a fee of $6600 (incl gst).

Ilovethiscity has been Larneuk’s quiet achiever, the Group One winner of the Randwick Guineas represented by a number of exciting types including recent Caulfield winner Plenty To Like, the five length Cranbourne winner Moonlover, the consistent Red Right Hand, four length debut Tasmanian winner City Of Dreams and runaway Warrnambool maiden winner The Passage.

The handsome son of Magic Albert again stands at $6600 (incl gst).

Lonhro’s record-breaking Group Two winning son O’Lonhro is proving a reliable source of winners and just last Saturday was represented by the impressive Rosehill winner O’Lordy.

Also sire of recent winners Frankly Harvey (successful at two of last three), Mamzelle Tess (easy winner of her last two), O’Lohn Star (five times winner from ten starts), Little Miss Tilly, Union Jukebox, Nelumbo, Gogogrey and La Rita… horses who between them have won 13 races since the start of March.

O’Lonhro again stands at $5,500 incl gst).

“We could not be happier with our roster for 2017,” Murdoch said, noting that “four stallions from strong sire lines – sons of Street Cry, Fastnet Rock, Lonhro and Magic Albert, a good variety with a horse to suit every breeder.”

Larneuk Stud always welcomes new clients with its lush paddocks well provided for by a 120 mega litre dam and a permanent creek that runs through the picturesque 200 acre property.

Ideally situated in the heart of Victorian thoroughbred breeding country, Larneuk Stud offers a number of services including walk-ins, agistment, broodmare management, weaning, education and foaling down.

WOLF CRY (Street Cry – Starfish) $4400
CLUSTER (Fastnet Rock – Tarcoola Diamond) $6600
ILOVETHISCITY (Magic Albert – Kensington Rose) $6600
O’LONHRO (Lonhro – Mamzelle Pedrille) $5500
