AOC’s ‘Green New Deal’ Pointless

Progressive Dem Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) call for a proposed “Green New Deal” to protect the environment “seems pointless,” Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said Friday.

“It is quite rich for Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez to point out the fact that we need to ruin our economy and stop all air travel and stop all cars in several years when she said the world will end in 12 years anyway,” Mr. Gidley said in a TV interview. “The whole thing seems pointless.”

Ms. Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey (D-Mass) have teamed up for the plan, announced Thursday, which calls to eliminate the country’s carbon footprint by Y 2030. Their joint resolution sets a goal of meeting 100% of the US power demand through “clean, renewable and Zero-emission energy sources.”

President Trump has “single-handedly” turned around the economy with his pro-growth, pro-business economic policies.

“Democrats are running on crushing all these gains…the line has been drawn here. The American people got to see what the Democrats didn’t stand up for. They did not stand up for America’s greatness and this new green deal has no chance of going anywhere.”

Mr. Gidley also pushed back at Democrats’ investigations into President Trump and his Administration, saying they will waste time and money if they go ahead.

“The President outlined a message at the State of the Union which was very clear,” he said. “They can choose America’s greatness or they can choose to move forward this country and help out the American people.”

Any socialist plan to degrowth America will fail.
