This is the Y 2022 list of 12 fruits and vegetables that are the ‘Dirty Dozen’.  They are best eaten organic as they have been proven to be drenched in deadly chemicals“–Paul Ebeling

There are other fruit and vegetable produce that do not get as much spraying and you can get away with non-organic if you have to.  Make sure you know the difference!

Here are the foods that made the “Dirty Dozen” list for Y 2022: Strawberries, Spinach, Kale, collard and mustard greens, Nectarines Apples, Grapes, Bell and hot peppers, Cherries, Peaches, Pears, Celery.

It is best to not eat any of the dirty dozen unless they have that ‘certified organic’ sticker.

Eating only Organic can be expensive for most consumers. If organic strawberries are very expensive, do not buy them.

Note: Avoiding foods that may be contaminated with higher levels of pesticide residue has been shown to reduce infertility, high body mass index and non-Hodgkin lymphoma in studies, although a definitive conclusion on the health benefits of an organic diet has yet to be made, according to a Y 2020 study published in the journal Nutrients.
