The White House is “furious at what China has done in recent days, weeks, and months,” and President Trump will present ideas for holding the Asian nation accountable for its actions concerning the C-19 coronavirus chaos and with its aggressions against Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other countries, National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow said Friday.
“China has behaved very badly (with a) lack of information, lack of transparency, lack of cooperation regarding the virus and with the World Health Organization, did a lot of damage,” Mr. Kudlow said on TV “We know the origin was in China, and if they had told the truth perhaps things would have been a lot easier for the rest of the world, where tragically, tragically, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed.”
And with Hong Kong, China is violating the treaty signed by Margaret Thatcher in the late 1980’s that was to keep it as a free-market-oriented democratic system.
“China’s now violating that by taking over national security,” he said, adding that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has stated that Hong Kong has no more autonomy from China.
President Trump’s announcement on China and the WHO was big and marked mark an “important change in terms of policy.“
