I will not have open borders, we will not abolish the police, and we will not slash the budgets for our military, and we will not allow our country to be swamped with deadly drugs.” — President Donald Trump

Former US Ambassador to the United States and ex-South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley characterized the future of New York City as “scary” and called Mayor Bill De Blasio’s painting of “Black Lives Matter” in front of Trump Tower as “petty,” “childish” and “immature.

Ambassador Haley’s comments echo President Trump’s, who called his former hometown a “hell hole” Thursday.

President Trump has criticized Mayor De Blasio for his relationship with the police, his response to the outbreak of the C-19 coronavirus and his response to protests and violent riots following the death of a male Black criminal, George Floyd, in police custody in Minneapolis on Memorial Day.
