F1: Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) at Spa; Charles and Seb Lock Out Front Row for The Scuderia

Ferrari’s (NYSE:RACE) Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel will line up on the front row of the grid for the 64th Belgian Grand Prix, having dominated Qualifying Saturday at the Spa-Francorchamps track.

Come on baby!” said Charles Leclerc as took a stunning pole position for Sunday’s Belgium Grand Prix, the Monegasque a staggering 3 quarters of a second clear of Sebastian Vettel as Ferrari locked out the front row at Spa Francorchamps.

Mr. Leclerc was quickest with a time of 1’42”519, to secure his 3rd career Pole, after Bahrain and Austria. This is The Scuderia Ferrari’s Pole, the 14th in Belgium.

Q1. Charles and Sebastian only needed the 1st run on Softs to make the cut into Q2, first and 2nd fastest respectively. The Charles did a 1’43”587 and the Seb marked a 1’44″109.

Q2. Both SF90s ran new Softs for their 1st Q2 run and Mr. Leclerc was again 1st of the Ferrari drivers to post a time, 1’43”376 followed by his team-mate who did a 1’43”506. These were good times, but both then decided to do 1 more run, getting down to 1’42”938 and 1’43”037 respectively to make it through to the Top 10 shoot-out.

Q3. Both drivers again did 2 runs. Mr. Leclerc did a 1’42”644 before getting down to a 1’42”519, while Mr. Vettel went from 1’43”476 to 1’43”267, 15 thousandths of a sec faster than Lewis Hamilton, who was 3rd quickest. This is The Scuderia’s 63rd Qualifying 1-2.

HeffX-LTN overall technical outlook for RACE is Neutral to Bearish, overhead resistance is at 158.55 and support at 155.35 all Key indicators are flashing Neutral to Bullish in here. Ferrari finished at 157.75, -0.47 Friday in NY.

Note: Goldman Sachs upgraded Ferrari to ‘buy‘ from ‘neutral ‘calling the stock’s pullback a good “entry point.” “We upgrade Ferrari from Neutral to Buy, offering 15% upside to our new price targets of 182. Our thesis, outlined in Life of Luxury published last month, is fundamentally unchanged post Ferrari’s in-line 2-Q results. We view the stock’s recent pullback (-7.5% since July 16) as a good entry point in here.

Ferrari will continue to create value in the long term. Ferrari is a quality 1st long term investment, and I see it at 200/share in that frame.
