America’s Judiciary Became Very Politicized Under Clinton & Obama
Neil Gorsuch, 49 anni, a highly regarded conservative Colorado judge, has emerged as a top contender for President Donald Trump’s first nomination for the Supreme Court.
Judge Gorsuch was originally listed among the 21 possible high court picks by The Trump Team during the election. His profile has increased as several admirers and supporters have been appointed to posts in the Trump Administration, according reports.
He now serves on the US 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado.
President Trump’s selection to the high court would fill the vacancy created by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
It should be noted that many judges have deviated from their job descriptions and instead have become “politicians in robes,” Freedom Watch founder and former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman said in a recent TV interview.
Judges need “to be brought back down to Earth” and perform their duties of adhering to the Constitution, Mr. Klayman said
“It’s very important that we get judges in there who aren’t politicized, who follow the rule of law, who adhere to the strict construction of the Constitution. . . . Judges are really our most important public servants. They protect us from the tyranny of the other two branches of government and our own tyranny, and they haven’t been doing that. They’ve been politicians in robes.”
“There are 100 unfilled vacancies,” Mr. Klayman said. “If the Republicans did anything right, it’s that they refused to confirm about 100 lower court judges both at the district court level and the appellate level.”
