American Citizens Have a Favorable Opinion of Donald Trump
The positive tone of the past 2 weeks is intact this morning as the Thanksgiving week begins.
Donald Trump’s popularity is on the rise as 46% of voters now have a favorable opinion of the US President Elect, according to a Politico/Morning Consult poll released Monday.
The results:
- 46% favorable/somewhat favorable
- 12% somewhat unfavorable
- 34% very unfavorable
It’s a 9-pt uptick since the days before the election, according to the survey. Further, Trump’s unfavorability rating has dropped 15% to 46%, according to Politico.
“This honeymoon phase in common for new presidents,” said Morning Consult co-founder. “For example, Barack Hussein Obama saw about a 20-point swing in his favor following the 2008 election.”
Further, 53% said Trump’s transition efforts are better or the same as past presidents, according to the survey.
The Politico/Morning Consult poll surveyed 1,885 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
Have a terrific Thanksgiving week.
