The 2019-2020 racing season at Meydan Racecourse gets underway in just a few weeks on Thursday, October 24, and online sales of tickets for the ‘Racing at Meydan’ programmes and concurrent Dubai World Cup Carnival are available to racegoers. For those looking to enjoy more of the exciting world-class horseracing at Meydan, Dubai Racing Club Membership is offered at AED 1,500. Membership allows one to experience the racing season in true style and gain access to The Premium and Parade Ring Restaurant every night of the racing season, including Dubai World Cup Carnival and Super Saturday. DRC members receive significant additional perks, including two complimentary Dubai World Cup Apron Views tickets, 15% off DRC merchandise and 20% off hospitality packages. The Parade Ring Restaurant will offer many enticing options this season, including the new Riders Up at Parade Ring on three Saturdays—Jan. 4, Jan. 18 and Feb. 29—where racegoers can enjoy an enhanced all-you-can-eat theme buffet menu, including one complementary drink for AED 200 per person, children 5-12 AED 50 and under age five AED 20. Several sought-after monthly theme nights return to highlight the season for AED 150, as well, on the Thursday evenings of Nov. 7 (Indian), Dec. 5 (British), Jan. 9 (Italian), Feb. 6 (Chinese) and Mar. 12 (Irish).
The Premium offers a pulsating piece of the action, with adult tickets at AED 40, ages 5-12 AED 20 and under age five complimentary. Silks Restaurant will once again be the place to dine in style, offering packages starting at AED 245 for adults, while those looking to enjoy a Saturday brunch can try our Terrace Brunch on Feb. 1 and Mar. 7 for AED 180, including an international buffet and standard house beverages (AED 140 with soft beverages).
Winner’s Circle Restaurant offers a renowned four-course set menu on levels two and three of the Meydan Grandstand with fantastic views for AED 275 (soft beverages) and AED 325 (standard house beverages), while the opportunity to elevate your experience will be offered, including a five-course ‘King Feast’ (Jan. 16), ‘Date Night’ (Feb. 13) and ‘Get in the Game’ on Nov. 21 and Mar. 12, which allows you and your guests a chance to feel like a Thoroughbred owner with a visit inside the Parade Ring.
A popular addition from the 2018-19 season returns with Picnic at the Premium, taking place on Nov. 21, Dec. 19, Jan. 16, Feb. 20 and Mar. 12. Sit back and make the most of the warm Dubai winter air with a traditional picnic basket packed with appetizing bites and refreshing beverages at the great value AED 50 per adult, AED 25 per child ages 5-12 and complimentary under age five.
Private Grandstand Suites and other corporate opportunities are also available for enjoying a night at the races with friends and/or colleagues, starting at AED 325 per person and ranging from standard to deluxe packages. In addition, if you book one suite on any race day, you receive a 20% discount on your second booking (excluding Super Saturday; minimum 10 guests). If you book a suite for at least five race days (minimum 10 guests), you receive a 25% discount on the total amount.
‘Racing at Meydan’ race days showcase the quality of our UAE racing talent from Oct. 24-Apr. 10. The 2020 DWC Carnival, an international showcase of racing, will take place on nine consecutive Thursdays, Jan. 2-Feb. 27, before culminating with Super Saturday, Mar. 7. Super Saturday is a dress rehearsal for the 2020 Dubai World Cup—the world’s richest day of racing boasting prize money of $35 million and an historic 25th edition—with seven course and distance preps for the big day. Dubai World Cup night will celebrate its silver anniversary three weeks later on Mar. 28.
