2016 Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale catalogue now available
The catalogue for the November National Hunt Sale is now available in print and online at www.tattersalls.ie. Accumulating to 1,470 lots, the sale will take place from Sunday 6 November to Friday 11 November and features older horses, two-year-olds, yearlings, foals and broodmares and starts at 10am each day.
The World’s most comprehensive National Hunt Sale offers an exceptional catalogue featuring 174 lots by the most recent British and Irish leading National Hunt sires, PRESENTING, KAYF TARA, FLEMENSFIRTH, MILAN, WESTERNER and ROBIN DES CHAMPS. The catalogue boasts own and half siblings to a staggering 89 Black Type performers including the full-brother to seven-time Grade 1 winner DOUVAN (Lot 903) (pictured), the own-brother to multiple Graded race winner APACHE STRONGHOLD (Lot 666), the OCOVANGO half-brother to Gold Cup winner BOBS WORTH (Lot 677), the own-brother to Grade 1 victor BALLYCASEY (Lot 656) and the own brother to promising Grade 2 winner SUTTON PLACE (Lot 826).
SADDLER MAKER, who sired the €255,000 top priced National Hunt three-year-old at the record breaking 2016 Derby Sale, is represented by a gelding out of eight-time winner Jecyfly (Lot 140). The yearling first offering from the unbeaten race mare QUEVEGA by BEAT HOLLOW (Lot 110) certainly stands out as a collector’s item.
Young sires feature significantly throughout the catalogue with stock by AIKEN, FAME AND GLORY, FAMOUS NAME, GETAWAY, IMPERIAL MONARCH, JET AWAY, LEADING LIGHT, LIBERTARIAN, OCOVANGO and VALIRANN.
SHIROCCO leads the charge numerically with 80 of his progeny catalogued while FAME AND GLORY is represented by 73 lots. First season sires LEADING LIGHT with 72 and OCOVANGO with 61 lots catalogued have the most representatives in this category.
