The Week Ahead on Wall Street

This week 13 members of the S&P 500 are scheduled to report earnings to Wall Street
On Tuesday: Best Buy (BBY), Intuit (INTU) and JM Smucker (SJM).
On Thursday: HP (HPQ) and PVH Corp. (PVH) on Wednesday; and Autodesk (ADSK), Dollar General Corp. (DG), Medtronic PLC (MDT), Patterson Companies (PDCO), Signet Jewelers Ltd. (SIG), Tiffany & Co. (TIF) and Ulta Salon (ULTA).
The week’s 1st financial report to Wall Street will be July new home sales, will be released Tuesday. Wednesday features the August PMI Index (PMI) Flash and July existing home sales. Durable goods orders for July will be released Thursday. And Friday features the 1st revision to Q-2 GDP, July international trade, and the University of Michigan’s August preliminary consumer sentiment survey (MSI).
US Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen will speak at the Kansas City Fed’s monetary policy symposium in Jackson Hole, WT, Friday.
From the US Treasury
The US Treasury Department will auction $26-B of 2-year Notes Tuesday, $13-B of 2-year floating rate notes (FRNs) and $34-B of 5-year Notes Wednesday, and $28-B of 7-year notes Thursday.
