100+ of the Hottest IoT Startups
100+ of the Hottest IoT Startups to Be Featured in Internet of Things World’s Startup City.
Internet of Things World’s Startup City will highlight entrepreneurs shaking up the IoT space, connecting them to top investors and potential customers.
Internet of Things World announced the full line-up of innovative IoT businesses that will be featured in Startup City on May 16-18 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Organizations will be participating from a large cross section of verticals, including: industrial, consumer, enterprise innovation, security, AI & machine learning, blockchain & fintech, and automotive & transportation.
Startup City will take place in conjunction with Internet of Things World, the world’s largest and most comprehensive IoT event and expo. Positioned at the heart of the show floor, Startup City is the hub of the Internet of Things World expo, and gives leading IoT startups, top investors and potential customers the chance to connect, share and develop new ideas. Startup City is part of Internet of Things World’s Project Kairos program, an exclusive year-round community built for startups that brings together select investors and some of the most innovative startups on the tech scene to boost startup exposure, and provide business coaching and networking opportunities.
“Startup City is one of the best places to meet the hottest startups in IoT. We are bringing 10 startups from our IoT accelerator program that include everything from emotion recognition to air quality forecasting, from AI to blockchain. This really showcases the diversity of the different technology areas encompassed by IoT,” said Shannon Southwick, Director of Plug and Play IoT, a sponsor of Startup City.
The IoT industry’s most innovative startups will also battle it out on the Startup City Stage in front of industry leaders and press, judged by a panel of investors, for the highly coveted Innovation of Things Award. The top pitches on the Startup City Stage from each vertical will be entered in the final pitch off for the opportunity to win the grand prize: showcasing at either Internet of Things World 2018 or a Fall IoT event and a subscription to Ovum’s Knowledge Center. Entrepreneurs will also have the opportunity to attend Startup Academy on May 16th to learn tips and tricks to making a startup successful.
Here is what some Startup City entrepreneurs had to say about the upcoming show:
- Eric Cariou, CEO, UWINLOC: “This is a must-attend event that’s essential for building partnerships in a fast-growing industry. Our IoT indoor tracking solution is perfectly suited for the U.S. market so we’re looking forward to finding many new potential partners at IoT World.”
- Eric Winsborrow, CEO, Distrix Networks: “IoT World and Project Kairos have provided Distrix Networks with the unique opportunity to meet a number of new partners and investors, and gain the kind of validation and exposure that startups dream of.”
- Alan Jones, CEO, Virtuosys: “We are changing the economics and efficiency of edge computing and look forward to meeting prospective investors and partners at IoT World. As a UK-based company, the conference will be an excellent way to further connect with the IoT community in Silicon Valley.”
“Startup City is one of the most popular parts of Internet of Things World. It’s where we connect the best and brightest startups in the IoT space with industry and investment to empower the next disruptors in tech,” said Gavin Whitechurch, Founder of Internet of Things World. “Attendees have the opportunity to watch exciting pitch sessions and the Innovation of Things Award ceremony, entrepreneurs are boosting their exposure and building valuable relationships within the IoT ecosystem, and investors can connect with the hottest, new IoT entrepreneurs all in one place.”
Startup City will be open on Wednesday, May 17th, from 10:00am – 6:00pm, and Thursday, May 18th, from 10:00am – 4:00pm. The full list of startups participating can be found here.
