The Week Ahead on Wall Street
$AZO, $HPE, $INTU, $COST, $HPQ, $DG
Only 16 members of the S&P 500 will report earnings this week as Q-1 earnings season winds down.
Included in this group are: AutoZone (NYSE:AZO), Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE:HPE) and Intuit (NASDAQ:INTU) Tuesday, Costco Wholesale (NASDAQ:COST) and HP (NYSE:HPQ) Wednesday, and Dollar General (NYSE:DG) Thursday.
On the economic front
The May PMI Manufacturing Index Flash and April new home sales will be released Tuesday. Wednesday features March international trade. April durable goods orders and April pending home sales will be released Thursday. Friday Wall Street sees the 1st revision to Q-1 GDP and the final University of Michigan (MSI) consumer confidence survey.
Making public appearances this week will be St. Louis President James Bullard, San Francisco president John C. Williams and Philadelphia President Patrick Harker Monday, Dallas president Robert Kaplan Wednesday; Bullard and Governor Jerome Powell Thursday.
Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen will speak publicly Friday.
US Treasury action
The US Treasury Department will auction $26-B of 2-year Notes Tuesday, $34-B of 5-year Notes and $13-B of floating 2-year Notes Wednesday and $28-B of 7-year notes Thursday.
