Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc. (Plum Creek) is a private timberland owner in the United States. As of December 31, 2009, Plum Creek owned 7 million acres of timberlands located in 19 states. The Company is principally engaged in growing and harvesting timber; manufacturing, distributing and selling forest products, and developing real estate and constructing homes. It has operations in 10 countries and has customers worldwide. The Company manages 22 million acres of forests. The Company operates in five segments: Timberlands, which includes logs, timber, minerals, oil and gas and international wood products; Wood Products, which includes softwood lumber, engineered lumber, structural panels, hardwood lumber and building materials distribution; Cellulose Fibers, which includes pulp and liquid packaging board; Real Estate, which includes real estates development, construction and sales, and Corporate and Other.

Claymore Beacon Global Timber Index(ETF) NYSE:CUT

Claymore/Beacon Global Timber Index ETF (the Fund), formerly Claymore/Clear Global Timber Index ETF, seeks investment results that correspond to the performance of an equity index called the Beacon Global Timber Index (the Index). All stocks in the Index are selected from the universe of global timber companies. Beacon Indexes LLC (Beacon or the Index Provider) defines global timber companies as firms who own or lease forested land and harvest the timber from such forested land for commercial use and sale of wood-based products, including lumber, pulp or other processed or finished goods, such as paper and packaging. Index constituents include securities with market capitalizations greater than $300 million, which includes securities of all market capitalizations, as determined by Beacon. It will invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stock, American depositary receipts and global depositary receipts that comprise the Index. Its investment advisor is Claymore Advisors, LLC.
