President Trump Keeps Promise to Protect US Citizen and Workers

President Donald Trump is keeping his promise to put US workers and industry 1st.

Politicians from both parties have been advocates of tariffs in the past, “To pretend that they are suddenly beyond the pale and that only the economically ignorant would favor them is disingenuous in the extreme.”

The US is right to defend itself in a trade war against all of its cheating trade partners.

Fair trade, and parity in trade, is not a retreat from the global economy. It is an insistence that when another player engages in foul or unfair play, President Trump, unlike Mr. Hussein Obama has  respond.

President Trump ran on the issue of defending American workers and going back on his promise now would be wrong.

Of course, some tariffs would not bring the steel industry back to its former heights, but growth is possible and will come.

President Trump’s plan is to tip the incentives toward American workers.

Notably, Wednesday, US Steel (NYSE:X) announced that it would reopen part of an Illinois factory following President Trump’s decision to impose a new tariff on steel imports.
