President Trump: “I hope ‘Crooked’ Hillary Runs in 2020”
Monday, US President Donald Trump sent a Tweet referencing Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Presidential candidate he defeated in the Y 2016 Election.
The president took aim at Democrats overall in a separate Tweet Monday, saying that “The Democrats only want to increase taxes and obstruct.”
On the Harvey Weinstein money
There is no reason for the Clinton Foundation to keep money from Harvey Weinstein, the movie mogul accused in multiple cases of sexual harassment, according to Jason Chaffetz, former Utah Republican congressman.
“There’s no excuse for this . . . She’s arguing that she wants to lead with women and women’s issues. And then this issue comes up and she’s like, ‘No, I’m going to go ahead and keep that money,'” Mr. Chaffetz said Monday, referring to Hillary Clinton.
Clinton Foundation officials said that they would not repay around $250,000 in donations that Harvey Weinstein gave to the Foundation.
“We are a charity. Donations, these included, have been spent fighting childhood obesity, HIV/AIDS, combating climate change, and empowering girls and women, and we have no plans to return them,” the foundation said in a statement.
