Australian mining magnate’s Mulsanne Resources placed into liquidation
Australian mining magnate and businessman Nathan Tinkler’s private company Mulsanne Resources has been placed into liquidation after failing to comply with a share purchase agreement, local media reported Tuesday.
Mulsanne owed listed coal junior Blackwood Corporation more than AU$28-M (US$29.15-M) after agreeing to take up a share placement in the company but has failed to pay.

Blackwood said Tuesday that the Supreme Court of New South Wales had made an order that Mulsanne Resources be wound up to pay creditors.
The court appointed Ferrier Hodgson Chartered Accountants as liquidators of Mulsanne Resources, it said.
“Mulsanne Resources was ordered to pay Blackwood’s costs of the winding up action,” Blackwood said in a statement.
“The powers of the directors of Mulsanne Resources are suspended and the liquidators will take control of the company.”
The liquidators will undertake investigations into Mulsanne Resources and will seek to collect and recover Mulsanne Resources’ s property and assets to meet creditors’ claims.
