Christine Peters

Christine Forsyth-Peters has been ranked among the 100 most powerful women in Hollywood. She played a key role in developing and producing multiple commercial hits over the last 20 years, ranging from The Witches of Eastwick to Batman, to How to lose a Guy in 10 Days. Entertainment projects developed or produced by Ms. Peters have grossed more than $2 billion. Ms. Peters has also worked as a journalist and agent in the entertainment and publishing sectors, developing a broad network of relationships in entertainment, publishing, journalism and the arts.

Ms. Peters arrived in Los Angeles from London as vice president of foreign sales and distribution for Intercontinental Releasing Corporation. Growing up around the world as the daughter of a General Motors executive, Ms. Peters speaks seven languages.

After leaving Intercontinental Releasing, Peters started out as a story analyst for Guber-Peters Company, where she participated in developing films such as The Witches of Eastwick, Rain Man, Flashdance, Gorillas in the Midst, and Batman. Peters then obtained a production deal at Sony Pictures, where she helped produce Batman Returns, Tango & Cash, Money Train, This Boys Life, and Bonfire of the Vanities, among others.

In 1991, Peters teamed with legendary Academy Award winning producer, Robert Evans. During their 10 year partnership Ms. Peters helped develop a commercial production slate, including The Saint starring Val Kilmer and the remake of Out-of-Towners, starring Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn.

Peters then formed CFP Productions, which produced the international hit How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, grossing more than $475 million worldwide. In 2004, CFP Productions entered into a five year agreement with Paramount Pictures under which CFP developed projects for Paramount. Among the other projects Ms. Peters brought into Paramount was Area 51, based on the hit games published by Midway Games.

In addition to her production activities, Ms. Peters was the West Coast Contributing Editor for Tina Brown and Miramax’s Talk Magazine. She continues to write regularly for publications such as LA Confidential. Ms. Peters also has worked with rights holders and authors to broker several with Warner Books and Talk Miramax Books.

Ms. Peters studied advertising and marketing at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, Holland.
