Hospira, Inc. (NYSE: HSP) Investor Day and Webcast Sept 7 Lake Forest, Ill.

Hospira has fallen 20% this year, and are down 14.5 percent since the company reported its second-quarter results on July 27. The company’s annual guidance has disappointed Wall Street, and Hospira said in July that it expects lower profit margins because it is spending more money to improve manufacturing.

The investor meeting will be a chance for company Chairman and CEO Michael Ball to address investor concerns.

Hospira, Inc. (NYSE: HSP), a leading global specialty pharmaceutical and medication delivery company, today announced that it will host an Investor Day at the company’s headquarters on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011. F. Michael Ball, Hospira’s chief executive officer, and several members of the company’s senior management will present at the event.

A streaming audio webcast of the event, together with the slide presentations, will be available on the Investor Relations sections of Hospira’s website, at www.hospirainvestor.com. The presentations are expected to begin at 8:00 a.m. Central Time on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 and conclude at approximately 3:00 p.m. Central Time. Listeners should log on approximately 10 minutes in advance to ensure proper setup for accessing the webcast. A replay of the webcast will be available on the Hospira website approximately 24 hours after the conclusion of the event for 30 days.
