Tonight will be the LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship

Hugh Bowman will be defending his title after his victory in last year’s LONGINES International Jockeys Championship, as much as I hate to say it I donn’t think he has Buckley’s of taking out the night, he will also show Hong Kong why he is the 2017 LONGINES World’s Best Jockey.

Race 1 – UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HANDICAP
Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 6:30pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1650M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $660000, Rating: 40-15, Class 5
Standard Time: 1.41.50, Record Time: 1.39.70
POWERFUL / 118lbs / 17-09-2003

YOURTHEWONFORME (2) is the favourite here in early betting but the distance is a question mark, he will probably hit the lead at some point in the straight but he will need to lift to win this, Moreira on board should help his chances.

WINNING CONTROLLER (6) is another one that is a bit new to the distance, his form is a bit on and off but the extra ground may suit him.

BORN TO RACE (9) has been racing OK but his best work has been at this distance on this track, he is the horse the others will need to hold out at the finish, he has the added benefit of coming from a very hot stable, Fownes has been on fire.

Race 2 – UNITED KINGDOM HANDICAP

Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 7:00pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1200M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $880000, Rating: 60-40, Class 4
Standard Time: 1.10.35, Record Time: 1.09.20
WINDICATOR / 128lbs / 06-12-2006

INFINITY ENDEAVOUR (3) Looks like the one to beat here, the Size/Moreira combo tells all, the horse will be fit ready and given every chance in running.

SHOW MISSION (12) is a speedy type and has been very consistent, he has been performing very well against some handy horses and is a real danger in this one.

AMBITIOUS HEART (4) last 2 runs have shown great improvement, this is a horse that has a good future.

Race 3 – JAPAN HANDICAP

Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 7:30pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1200M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $1310000, Rating: 80-60, Class 3
Standard Time: 1.10.20, Record Time: 1.09.04
PERFECT GEAR / 133lbs / 20-09-2009

HEALTHY LUCK (5) he is in form and racing well, has only missed a place once in eight starts over this distance on this track, one of the best bets of the night.

SIR REDALOT (4) Hugh Bowman’s mount put in a stellar effort last time out but before that had been inconsistent, let’s see what Hugh can do with him.

WHO ELSE BUT YOU (3) is coming in to this off 2 good wins at this track at this distance.

Race 4 – LONGINES INTERNATIONAL JOCKEYS’ CHAMPIONSHIP (HANDICAP) – 1ST LEG – Sec2
Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 8:10pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1650M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $1056000, Rating: 60-40, Class 4
Standard Time: 1.40.90, Record Time: 1.38.83
FLYING ELITE / 124lbs / 19-06-2013

The International Jockey’s will be working hard in this one.

FOREVER POSH (7) with superstar Ryan Moore at the reigns should take this race, more consistent than the rest of these and has a liking for this distance, Moore should take the 1st win in the Jockeys challenge.

GARLIC YEAH (8) with the Japanese rider Tosaki is on Garlic Yeah has put in some good runs, he prefers it longer but if they go hard early he will be in the finish.

MR KOOL (4) ridden by Boudot looks a chance here his last 2 starts have been over this distance and he put in solid performances.

Come Racing with us

Race 5 – LONGINES INTERNATIONAL JOCKEYS’ CHAMPIONSHIP (HANDICAP) – 2ND LEG
Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 8:40pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1000M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $1056000, Rating: 60-40, Class 4
Standard Time: 0.57.35, Record Time: 0.56.65
OUR PEGASUS / 129lbs / 03-02-2010

JOLLY BOUNTIFUL (1) Tosaki has the winner here and he will lead the jockeys challenge after this race, the horse is hard to fault, never out of the placings, improves every time and trained in the Size stable, the draw will not hurt his chances at all, he is the best bet of the night.

EXCEPTIONAL DESIRE (4) ridden by Boudot has done enough to rate a solid chance here, good consistent horse lately.

FISH N’ CHIPS (9) improving horse and has the benefit of Moreira, do not think he has what it takes to win this but will be running on in the final stages.

Race 6 – FRANCE HANDICAP
Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 9:10pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1000M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $1310000, Rating: 85-60, Class 3
Standard Time: 0.57.15, Record Time: 0.56.50
ADAIKALI / 128lbs / 11-01-2006

MONEY BOY (8) the Size/Moreira combo is back and this is a horse racing in the best form of its career.

KEEP MOVING (4) coming in to this off 2 speedy wins, he beat Money Boy last time out, I think the tables will be turned tonight but this horse will figure in the finish.

E-SUPER (5) another speedy horse who loves the 1000m at Happy Valley, these 3 will go across the line with not much between them.

Race 7 – LONGINES INTERNATIONAL JOCKEYS’ CHAMPIONSHIP (HANDICAP) – 3RD LEG – Sec1
Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 9:40pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1650M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $1056000, Rating: 60-40, Class 4
Standard Time: 1.40.90, Record Time: 1.38.83
FLYING ELITE / 124lbs / 19-06-2013

Back to the Jockey challenge now:

SPEEDY WALLY (2) and Ryan Moore have this race well in hand. This horse has really been putting in big efforts of late, he has an excellent turn of foot and is the type of horse Moore excells at riding, he will steamroller these in the last 200m.

GODSPEED (11) is good each way value, he finished like a freight train last time out and that should put him and Tosaki in the money.

CURLING LUXURY (3) forget his last run it was just too far, 1650m is what this horse likes and Moreira will get some points in this one.

Race 8 – LONGINES INTERNATIONAL JOCKEYS’ CHAMPIONSHIP (HANDICAP) – 4TH LEG
Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 10:10pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1650M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $1572000, Rating: 80-60, Class 3
Standard Time: 1.40.70, Record Time: 1.38.70
DORDENMA / 130lbs / 27-09-2006

BANK ON RED (6) eye catching run last outing and Boudot looks set to take the points, brilliant turn of foot, can not see them holding him out of the finish.

SUPER FORM (9) is in Super Form and has real claims here, Demuro will pick up a few points in the challenge.

KIRAM (7) is a model of consistency, like always he will give it every thing he has and that should be enough to put him in the finish and earn some points for Teetan.

At the end of the challenge I think Moore and Tosaki will be fighting it out with Moreira and Boudot right behind them, Bowman had a shocker of a draw here but remains the Worlds Best Jockey.

Race 9 – BRAZIL HANDICAP
Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 10:50pm, Happy Valley

“B” Course, 1800M, Expected Going: Good
Prize Money: $1860000, Rating: 100-80, Class 2
Standard Time: 1.49.90, Record Time: 1.47.61
TIME WARP / 109lbs / 14-06-2017

DINOZZO (3) yep I am tipping a big night for the Size/Moreira combo, 3 great runs, draw does not matter over the 1800m and he will be in great hands.

FRIENDS OF KA YING (10) has been racing well without a win, tonight will be more of the same but still worth including in your exotics.

LUCKY GIRL (8) an impressive type will like the 1800m, more to come in the future for this one but for tonight a place chance.
