Harlette Diamond Lingerie
Bored with necklaces, rings and bracelets? Harlette, Australian purveyors of bespoke luxury lingerie, have worked with Eskae Jeweller to create lingerie suspender clasps made of platinum hearts covered with diamonds.
The luxury objet d’art made out of platinum and pave-set diamonds is a world first in lingerie and was awarded an innovation patent 2009100676 on Bastille day 14th July 2009. The piece has 135 diamonds for a bit of private sparkle.
Australian lingerie expert Naomi McGill specializes in elaborate pieces in silk with the finest trimmings. Handmade lace, silks, jewel-encrusted tulle, velvets marabou, ostrich and peacock feathers all combine to make pieces that are delicate, wearable art. The diamond clasps are sold with velvet suspender (garter) belts and cost approximately $15,000.
The creative director of award winning Harlette Lingerie, and an innovation patent designer, Naomi McGill says, Harlette walks on the side of the road where tradition, style, affordability and fabrics do not come into the equation. Harlette concentrates on “How do you feel? ” and “How is the piece transforming the client when she wears it?”. In essence letting you unleash the naughty romantic within.
The concept for Harlette came about when Naomi realized there was a huge gap in the lingerie market for lovers of lingerie who were looking for pieces that were unique, romantic and a work of art. Made from lavish fabrics and trimmings, with inspiration from Hollywood, Royalty, the Tudor and Baroque periods and anything French of course, Harlette’s extravagant designs are perfect for the discerning lingerie-lover. With the current popularity in vintage styling, Harlette’s latest range includes fabrics and adornments in embellished crystal- beaded French lace, silks, Italian jewel-encrusted tulle, velvets and, of course, marabou, ostrich and peacock feathers. Naomi says there is a return to opulence and decadence so Harlette’s new designs will be adding more layers and tiers of feathers and French lace, like the layers of a wedding cake. The label is not about bling, it’s about exclusivity, and using exquisite materials to create a luxurious bespoke garment that become heirlooms.
Working one-to-one with clients to make their dreams come true, every piece is handmade so it becomes the client’s own signature piece. Harlette is expanding, has clients from all over the world including Saudi Arabia, UK, USA, and Malaysia and will be launching a retail range in the near future.
