A Ferrari 599 SA Aperta will be sold by Mecum Auctions in Monterey in August and could hammer for as much as $1.5-M.
The SA Aperta is based on the powerful Ferrari 599 GTO rather than the 599 GTB. Meaning that it shares its heritage with the track-only 599XX and is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine that can rev to 8,500 rpm and delivers 661 hp and 488 lb-ft of torque.
Mated to this V12 engine is an advanced transmission akin to the 599XX’s, mimicking that car’s 60-millisec upshifts and 120-millise downshifts. And, if the driver holds down the left paddle, the car will automatically make numerous downshifts in preparation for a corner.
Unlike the 599 GTO of which 599 units were created, just 80 examples of the SA Aperta rolled off the production line, making it one of the most limited modern Ferrari models to date.
This car is an exceptional one owner example in Red, White and Black livery, and a only 870 miles on the ‘clock”.
Owning a Ferrari means that you are in the big league. And, obtaining one of finest, most exclusive and rarest automobiles straight out of the box means that there is something more about you besides money.
Expect it to be solid investment for the winning bidder.
Have a terrific weekend.
