F1: Japanese Grand Prix Full Qualifying Results

Nico Rosberg took his 8th pole position of the season and 3rd straight at Suzuka after out-qualifying his MercedesAMG teammate Lewis Hamilton by 0.013s, thought he has yet to win a race at Suzaka. The last 2 seasons have seen him take pole only for Mr. Hamilton to take victory from 3nd place on the grid both times. He hopes to put that record straight Sunday, and extend his championship lead, which now stands at 23-points.

Kimi Raikkonen in his Ferrari was the closest to the Silver Arrows and took 3rd place out-qualifying teammate Sebastian Vettel, who came 4th. The 4X world champ will take a 3-place grid penalty owing to his 1st lap collision at the Malaysian Grand Prix last weekend.

Max Verstappen, who qualified 5th ahead of his Red Bull teammate Daniel Ricciardo, will join Mr. Raikkonen in the 2nd row for the race, with Sergio Perez moving up a place with Mr. Vettel starting in 7th place alongside Romain Grosjean in row 4.
