F1: Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) has more Wins than any Manufacturer in Spain
Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) led the way throughout practice and qualifying in Russia, expecting that again at Barcelona.
At Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the track where it all went sideways or MercedesAMG last year, the defending constructors champions hope that history does not repeat itself with their new lineup.
Messrs Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen should have a good showing this weekend in Spain, a track where Ferrari has been very strong, despite the fact that neither has a huge amount of success at the track. Mr. Raikkonen tasted victory in Ys’ 2005 and 2008, while Mr. Vettel has only 1 win in Spain.
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is 1 of just 2 venues where Red Bull triumphed last year and, if the constructors championship is to remain within reach, a similar result will be essential at the weekend. Red Bull is not expected to bring any changes to their racers until Brazil
Valtteri Bottas is out to prove to the F1 world that he is more than just MercedesAMG’s # 2 driver this season.
