Donald Trump, The “Master” Deal Maker, Expect Him To Have The Delegates Needed
Lots of smart political pundits predict that Donald Trump will arrive at the GOP convention in Cleveland just shy of the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination on the 1st ballot.
I do not believe that will be what happens.
Donald Trump’s mentality and his outlook appeals to many, many American voters.
Here is why.
New York Journalist Edward Klein writes, “I’ve known Donald Trump for 35 years, met with him on numerous occasions, talked to him on the phone countless times, traveled with him, and written 2 lengthy magazine cover stories about him.
One cover story appeared in the December 2013 issue of Vanity Fair titled “Trump Family Values.”
In that story, Mr. Klein reported that the once almost bankrupt Donald Trump had figured out a way to make a comeback and become a billionaire.
The 2nd cover story appeared in the August 2012 issue of a News magazine and was titled “The Trump Effect.”
In that story, Mr. Klein explained Donald Trump’s appeal to a wide section of the American people. He wrote, “blue-collar and low-level white collar workers who say that they’re tired of hearing the same old political falderal from career politicians.”
Mr. Klein said that he learned from reporting these stories is that Donald Trump always has an “Ace in the Hole”.
In the case of the Republican National convention, where he may arrive 50 to 100 votes short of the necessary 1,237, the Ace here will be the 136 unbound delegates.
Donald Trump has identified each one of these 136 free-to-vote-for-whomever-they-please delegates and has begun to Woo them.
We should not forget, Donald is the “Master” of the deal, he wrote the book on it.
I read it when it was published in Y 1987, read it for insight into hid mentality and personalty.
