The announcement was made by WikiLeaks on its official Twitter account after the organization had released more than 8,000 emails from key figures in the Democratic National Committee.

WikiLeaks has come under a DoS attack since publishing a new tranche of DNC e-mails, the whistleblowing website has announced on Twitter.

Addressing a crowd of supporters gathered for a rally in Sterling Heights, Michigan, Trump argued that despite FBI chief James Comey’s statement Sunday that the probe into Clinton’s alleged national security breaches “will go on for a long, long time.” Comey earlier said that nothing incriminating was found in the emails stored on the laptop used by Clinton’s senior aide that could have warranted any charges against her.

“The rank-and-file special agents at the FBI won’t let her get away with her terrible crimes, including the deletion of 33,000 emails after receiving a Congressional subpoena,” Trump said.

On November 6, WikiLeaks published more emails from the hacked account of Clinton’s campaign chair, John Podesta, bringing the number to the promised 50,000.

Among them are transcripts of Bill Clinton’s fundraising speeches, in which the former US president attacks UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and says a tough leader is needed to “enforce the trigger that will re-impose sanctions” if Iran violates the nuclear deal.

The leaks also include Clinton aides worrying that “there are no good answers” to questions about the Clinton Foundation.

One of the emails saw former Clinton Foundation fundraiser Doug Band slamming Chelsea Clinton for allegedly spending money from the Foundation on her wedding.

The whistleblowing organization has now published more than 55,600 emails in a series of daily online releases which it said were building towards the November 8 presidential election.
