Congratulations to Ferrari Winning a Record Number of Engine Awards
Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) wins record number of awards at the International Engine of the Year Awards Show, taking home a record 5 awards.
The new 3.9 liter twin-turbo V8 found in the 488 GTB was the darling of the show.
It won 3 separate categories, including International Engine of the Year.
Some of the other categories it won are Performance Engine and New Engine, as well as the 3 to 4 liter displacement category.
Along with the V8 turbo, Ferrari is holding its head up high for the 6.3 liter V12 in the F12berlinetta and the new F12tdf, for taking home the award for best engine above 4 liters.
Ferrari says that its “return to twin-turbo technology for the V8 range has set a new benchmark for turbo-charged engines.”
From what I have learned, Ferrari’s new turbo V8’s live up to their naturally aspirated predecessors, with all the character, rev-happiness and sound you expect, and with more torque on the low end.
But, the V12, not new, it really super, I do not expect Ferrari to make a bad engine, I once owned a vintage racer with a 4 cyl engin, it was super too, though at the time some thought it a “boat anchor”
Ferrari is one of, if not the most recognized brands in the world, it represents ultra-exclusive luxury, high performance sports cars and racing cars. It stock is trading at a 30% discount to intrinsic value, and that’s what makes Ferrari a very good trading idea. Think about it.
