Bernie Sanders the Most Dangerous Candidate

Bernie Sanders the Most Dangerous Candidate

“I think there are a lot of people who, when they hear the word ‘socialist,’ get very, very nervous,” Sanders told reporters at a campaign stop in early 2016.

I think those people have good reason to be nervous, very nervous. Socialism is an evil that raises it’s head in difficult times, but not once in history has Socialism cured anything, Socialism is a disaster.

While I find many of his policy’s attractive, I only find them attractive in the ideological sense, his concept of how the problem has arisen and the solution is wrong at every level.

Free education, Medical services etc are noble goals that could be funded by a small Government in surplus, that’s not Bernie’s plan, Bernie wants a Government of massive proportions with 1000s of new laws and regulations. Bernie’s planned spending and tax hikes would put the USA in to the final debt spiral that would destroy the nation.

Raising taxes will not create a better society, changing the tax laws by reducing rates will see more money from big firms return to the USA. Apple is a key example, Apple is holding over $200b in cash outside the USA (it is in cash and term deposits, marketable debt etc). That money should be in the USA but the law allows it to avoid taxes by not bringing it back.

The answer is simple, make it attractive to bring it back, or change the law and make it taxable, Bernie Sanders raising the rates will only drive more money offshore, that is the dynamic driving the failure of trickle down economics in the USA.
