Consumers should know that there are a large number of used Tesla cars for sale. So, buying a used Tesla, should a person want a fad EV, may be a good alternative to buying one new, that is if it is in good shape and if there is a solid warranty attached,
The Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, is angry about the new car discounting.
Recently, Tesla CEO Elon Musk found out his sales team has been offering discounts on cars, and he is furious, that is publicly furious.
LTN learned that the company has been and is going all out to sell cars at below list prices in order to boost its bottom in Q’s 3 and 4.
Mr. Musk sent an e-Mail to Tesla workers last Wednesday, railing that he had heard salespeople were offering promotional deals, when even Mr. Musk himself pays full price for his Tesla’s.
“There can never, and I mean never, be a discount on a new car coming out of the factory in pristine condition,” Musk wrote. “This is why I always pay full price when I buy a car and the same applies to my family friends, celebrities, no matter how famous or influential.”
Tesla’s are for sale on EBay, Mr. Musk is not controlling the pre-owned Tesla market, period.
